Who We Are
Network Entertainment Group is a multi- facet entertainment company formed in Prince Georges, MD in 2007. The company is comprised of five basic divisions that include Television Production, Film Production, Music Production, Live Event Production, and Entertainment Business Management which intermingle together with the support of a unique marketing and promotion system to create an entertainment business nucleus. The Network Entertainment Group will strive to be the ultimate clearing house for entertainment industry resources, information, training, and networking in the D.C. Metro Area.
This endeavor to organize a Washington Area community based business to direct and support entertainment artist and others in associated fields by providing professional training and resources by way of an extraordinary organizational entertainment network came out of the heart and soul of Network Entertainment Group's Operations Manager, Andre Butler who is a native of D.C. He experienced the need to seek a mentor and assistance first hand as an event promoter, club manager, artist manager, and music producer during his early years in the entertainment business. Andre's main two mentors were major record industry mover and shaker, the late Woody Johnson who represent various major labels in promotion and A & R, and the other is the ledgendary Vaugh Mason, who has made a huge
influence on his life, entertainment direction, and current entertainment career focus. Vaugh Mason at the time they met was a music producer, artist manager, songwriter, gold record national recording artist, and CEO of his own record label. Vaugh is best known for his world wide smash classic hit "Bounce, Rock, Roll, Skate" and his radio innovative classic "Break 4 Luv". Andre gained valuable insight on all levels of the business and creative side of the industry from Vaugh and Woody. Andre's wife ledgendary Dance and R&B artist, songwriter/producer, actress Taana Gardner (Google her name for info. & go to official myspace to hear songs) is known worldwide for her smash hit "Heartbeat" along with other hits "Work That Body", "When You Touch Me" and more. Taana has blessed Andre with a wealth of known from her experiences and lessons learned from her years of recording and touring with other major artist. Andre has constantly heard all the stories of talented people in the area not having the resources, mentorship, knowledge and/or support to further their entertainment career in the D.C. Metro Area. You have to "just do it". Take the time to learn the business, get books from the libray, and take workshops and classes. Andre has taken Music Recording Studio training, TV training and Film training to prepare for future opportunities. He is always studying as well as attending training and seeking knowledge and assistance from others on a regular basis to gain a clear perception of the business aspects and life. Network Entertainment Groups' associates, partners, and sponsors are on a mission to aid in the thorough preparation of individuals skills for a successful and productive career in the arts and entertainment industry. Our goal is to assist in providing the knowledge, hands-on experience and resources considered necessary to make it possible for our community to play their role in successful productions of projects for TV, film, stage, music recordings, and live performances in addition to other related art forms developed and produced in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. We are always looking for highly motivated positive minded individuals who are apart of the DMV Entertainment Movement as well as all those individuals who want to be involved.
